If someone asks me what's the best new wave band ever i won't wait a second until i say Devo. And they are much more than that, they are not just synths or pop music with 80s look and production. They are brilliant, one of my favourite bands ever and basically, the only band (along with some Beastie Boys and Cramps) that i love their video clips and tv performances. Just the perfect look of a crazy looking era. Their music fits perfectly their aesthetics and when you see a video and you listen later to the same song you really associate the song with the video. It's a perfect match. They are not just the music, it's also their visuals. People will always say that modern clip is directly influenced by Michael Jackson's "Thriller" (that is quite a good video and part of truth) but i think Devo on their own are also part of the game. Just look and listen!

Devo, mi exponente básico de grupo que supo aprovecharse de los 80s y no caer en los errores de los 80s. Look retro-futurista, sintentizadores (bien usados) por doquier, videos frenéticos con efectos de época (bien usados) y horterismo a raudales. Si los Sex Pistols son la representación perfecta del punk, ellos lo son de los 80s divertidos y la new wave. Aunque ellos son mucho más que eso. Son una de las mejores bandas que ha habido y que mejor ha sabido enlazar la música con lo audiovisual. Todo encaja a la perfección de una forma ridicula. Donde otros han caido intentando ir a la última ellos no pasan de moda riendose de ella misma. Canciones de pop perfectas con el mejor look de todos los 80.

This year we're taking easy the Christmas time. We stay at home, chilling out, having good food and watching  movies. December was busy for psychocandy. Every weekend of this month we worked hard enjoying vintage events in Barcelona. We're happy as a kid in a candy store 'cos people loved our staff!!! We sold the mayority of our winter collection already!  We love pop up stores! It had places in amazing venues like old train station, art galleries or cool bars. It was always accompanied with nice dj's playing and delicious coctails...and snacks. We had a personal time with our clients and it was huge fun. We didn't expected that it's gonna be such a success! Now we're having a few days off to start january with fresh energy! Soon we'll share details of comming events and ridiculous SALES! Stay tuned!!!!!

Este año estamos teniendo unas navidades tranquis por casa comiendo bien, viendo algunas pelis y tal. Diciembre ha sido duro, prácticamente cada fin de semana ha habido algún evento vintage en el que hemos participado, ¡y en el que hemos flipado! A mucha gente le ha encantado nuestro material y prácticamente nos hemos quedado sin ropa de invierno. Por eso nos merecemos unos días de relax para comenzar el año con fuerza. En general todos han sido en sitios muy chulos... desde estación de trenes antigua a galerías de arte o barcitos chulos. Hemos tenido clientes entrañables y todo ha sido muy divertido gracias a los picoteos, bebidas y djs que pululuban estos lugares... Pronto volveremos a la carga en enero.. ¡Incluído rebajas en un sitio muy particular!

It took me so long to make this post...but i literally haven't got any time this week. We got back from Benidorm at Sunday evening...so tired that almost directly we went to the bed. At Monday i went to work, tuesday, wednesday....but it happend a few very nice and important things for psychocandy during this week (!) so it makes me so powerful and happy :)

Benidorm is a crazy place. Just before we went for a festival we saw a documentary film about this city that says that is the second place on the word with skyscrapers. ..just after New York :) It impressed me a lot.We got a nice, rather old school style apartment with an amazing view of the bay. We spent hours chilling out on the terrace admiring that awesome view and having a glass or two before went to the festival spot...We explored the city, the beach and an incredible english breakfast and english lunch every day ;)Yes, this city is completly english even that is in the middle of the Spanish coast.

I didn't take pics at the Dracula Carnival as i wasn't carrying my camera with me at the night. I took some pics on the funtastic BBQ that had place at mid day...

We had  a great time over there, having a party every night, listening good music, dancing...hanging around with friends.

Now we are back in Barcelona with so many projects in the head, full of good energy and diying to do stuff and follow our dreams.

He tardado mogollón en escribir, lo sé... ¡pero no he parado! Desde que llegué de Benidorm el domingo por la noche (¡y directa a la cama!) ha sido currar, currar y currar. Pero ha sido una semana divertida para psychocandy :). Benidorm es más increíble de lo que puede parecer a primeras, nada más comenzar ves sus enormes rascacielos (segunda ciudad por nº de rascacielos en el mundo según un super-documental), acto y seguido ves jubilados. Manadas y manadas de ellos por el paseo marítimo a eso de la llamada la fresquita en super vocabulario español clásico se monta una escena cercana a la estampida de ñúes en el Rey León. En serio, insuperable respecto al nivel de edad. Tercera cuestión el frikismo general de muchos locales de la ciudad y por último los precios. Lugar totalmente perfecto para el Funtastic básicamente. En general a parte de eso, conocimos un poco la ciudad, hicimos el guiri comiendo desayuno inglés y pasando ratos entre salida y salida en nuestra increíble terraza. ¡Ya se acabó (menos mal, tampoco aguanta el cuerpo para muchos días así) y de vuelta con nuevas ideas y mogollón de planes!
